Pesticides too dangerous to use in Germany are still made there for export
to Africa and South America – a toxic trade that the government promised
to end.
Tell the government to finally pass the ban to stop chemical corporations
exporting toxic time bombs!

John,
Tons of pesticides considered too dangerous to use in the EU are still
exported from Europe to the rest of the world.
Chlorothalonil, for example, was
banned in Europe in 2020 due to its potential to pollute groundwater and
cause cancer. But it's still exported to the US.
The German government said they'd outlaw these "Giftexporte" (poison
exports) -- but they've been sitting on an export ban bill for more than a
year, never passing the law, lest it interfere with business.
Let's remind the German government what they promised, and help put a stop
to Giftexporte:

toxic pesticides!
Every year, tons of poisonous pesticides that are banned in the EU are
shipped to Africa, Asia and Latin America. In 2018 alone, more than 81,000
tonnes of pesticides containing 41 different hazardous chemicals were
exported by European corporations. In those regions, the pesticides are
used without proper regulation and protection, exposing millions of people
and the environment to disastrous dangers.
Agricultural workers, small farmers and people who live near fields or
plantations suffer the most – facing health threats like cancer or
malformations in newborns as the soil, the produce, and the groundwater
get heavily polluted.
Other EU countries have already proven that it is possible: France and
Belgium introduced laws that ban the export of pesticides banned in the
EU. Germany has to do the same.

and Justice Minister Dr. Marco Buschmann to finally enforce the export ban
on highly toxic pesticides!
The Ekō-Community is a powerful movement that has fought for the
protection of farmers and families poisoned by pesticides corporations. We
have spoken directly to Bayer’s shareholders and directors at their AGM,
and helped beekeepers fighting the pesticide industry in the courts.
Together we also helped stop cancer-causing Chlorothalonil from being
approved in Costa Rica. Now let's push the German government to stop
exporting poison.
