West Seattle Water Taxi service suspended April 13-14 for maintenance, summer service resumes on Monday, April 15
The new summer sailing schedule begins April 15 and will run through October 11. Service for the West Seattle Water Taxi begins around 6 a.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. on the weekends. The midday service remains in place, but our summer schedule includes the return of late-night sailings through 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, starting April 15.
Additional Vashon Island sailings! The Water Taxi also is looking forward to welcoming passengers for new midday service to Vashon Island on weekdays this summer, beginning on Monday, July 1. Information on the sailing schedule will be available in June.
West Seattle Water Taxi service suspended April 13-14 for maintenance
As the King County Water Taxi team prepares for the start of its summer sailing season on April 15, service for the West Seattle Water Taxi will be suspended for the weekend of April 13-14 to conduct training and maintenance.
Transit options available during the weekend closure include:
Buses
- Metro’s RapidRide C Line & RapidRide H Line, routes 21, 56, 57 & 125 connect West Seattle to downtown Seattle – near the Pier 50 passenger-only facility located at Alaskan Way and Columbia Street.
- The RapidRide C Line also connects riders to the Washington State Ferry Fauntleroy Terminal, which serves Vashon Island.

Route 128 connects the Admiral District, Morgan Junction, High Point, Delridge, South Seattle College and White Center areas.
- Water Taxi shuttle routes 773 & 775 will continue to operate their regular routes and schedules during this time, connecting West Seattle riders to the West Seattle Junction and Alki Beach via Harbor Avenue, Alki Avenue and North Admiral.

- Metro Route 50 connects West Seattle - including North Delridge, the Alaska Junction, the Admiral District and Alki Beach to Sound Transit’s 1 Line at SODO.
