Donald Trump has botched the response to the coronavirus in almost every possible way—and yet his approval rating just hit its highest point ever.
Consistent majorities say they approve of his handling of the pandemic, and he's now leading in head-to-head polls in key battleground states like Florida.
How is this possible?!
Here's how: It's because the corporate media is once again playing right into his hands.
Every day, for two hours, Trump is getting free TV time to lie, brag, and bluster about how well everything is going and how everyone else is to blame. And in times of crisis, people want to rally around the president, whoever that is.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden has totally vanished from the media, refusing to respond as Trump is surging.
The only way to counter Trump's rise in the polls is to get the facts to the American people. Voters need to know that the reason the United States has more coronavirus cases than any other country in the world and has failed to "flatten the curve" is because of the Trump administration’s incompetent response and total lack of preparation.
