Believe it or not, redistricting impacts all of the progressive issues that we care about, from health care and education to fundamental freedoms like abortion rights. Gerrymandering can set off a dangerous domino effect — and here’s exactly how it works:

→ When gerrymandered maps are in place, the outcomes of elections don’t represent the will of the voters. 

→ When the will of the voters is misrepresented, legislatures can become lopsided and out-of-touch.

→ When those out-of-touch legislators go unchecked, they can pass extreme bills that go against our shared, broadly popular values.
