HOUSE PASSES TWO PROPOSALS I LED TO IMPROVE ADDICTION TREATMENT, BOOST DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINING

One of my top priorities has been finding pathways to address the damage Measure 110 inflicted on the 5th District and communities across Oregon. Now more than ever, workers on the frontlines of addiction treatment and recovery need our support.

That’s why I introduced the Opioid Crisis Workforce Act, which passed the House on Tuesday as part of a broader package that will support workers and expand economic opportunity. My proposal will improve information sharing and training for workers involved in the prevention and treatment of substance use and behavioral health disorders – ensuring they have the resources needed to provide addiction treatment to those in need.

The bipartisan package also included a bill I co-led – the Investing in Digital Skills Act – to ensure that adult education programs are better equipped to prepare individuals for the evolving demands of the digital economy.

ICYMI: SCENES FROM ISRAEL 🇺🇸🇮🇱

Last week, I joined several of my colleagues to visit Israeli communities brutally destroyed by Hamas terrorists on October 7.

I'll always stand with Israel and ensure they have the resources needed to defend themselves and bring hostages home.

Here's some of what I saw:

CONTINUING THE FIGHT TO KILL TOLLING

Oregonians have made it clear: They do not want to pay a regressive tax just to get to work.

That’s why I’ve been working to pump the brakes on tolling, and I’ll keep fighting to ensure Oregon tolling proposals are killed permanently ⬇️
