Many think of Washington as a “safe blue” state, but that isn’t true when
it comes to gubernatorial elections, like this one, without an incumbent.

In the last two campaigns for Governor where there was no incumbent, the
average margin of victory was just 1.5%.

Last week, a right-wing firm released a poll that showed Bob Ferguson down
nine points to anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert — but just a few weeks
earlier, a different poll had Bob up four points over Reichert.

Here’s the bottom line: This race is close and it’s only going to continue
to be more unpredictable and more competitive as we get closer to Election
Day.

We can’t afford to rest. We must reach as many voters as we can
(especially undecided voters) so we can elect Bob and keep Washington
blue.
