This week, Arizona’s Supreme Court upheld an abortion ban from 1864, criminalizing nearly all abortions in the state.

This ruling will further endanger women’s healthcare and revoke critical rights to access with decades of precedent.

Make no mistake, Republicans have been laying the groundwork for a complete federal ban on abortion. With a Biden-Trump rematch looming, a second Trump administration could appoint more radical conservative judges to accelerate an already dire situation.

Arizona and Florida’s near-total abortion bans underscore the need for federal abortion protections and codifying Roe v. Wade. I’m committed to protecting reproductive rights and securing a future where women are free to access safe and legal abortion care.
