Honoring the Month of the Military Child
April is the Month of the Military Child, an important opportunity to celebrate the sacrifice, commitment, and service of military children in our local communities and across the nation.
Last year, Congressman Kim and a bipartisan group introduced a resolution designating April as “Month of the Military Child” to honor the sacrifices that military children make in support of their families and country.
Recognizing Black Maternal Health Week
Thursday marked the beginning of Black Maternal Health Week which is a reminder of the desperate need to pass the Momnibus, a comprehensive plan to address the maternal health crisis. For black mothers and children in New Jersey and across our nation, we stand with Black Maternal Health Caucus to pass the entire package to deliver real solutions and save lives.

Commemorating Sexual Assault Awareness Month
It is also Sexual Assault Awareness Month. During April, we recognize and highlight the role we can all play to create space for survivors to be heard, silence to be broken, and shame to be dispelled.
We must always stand by survivors of sexual assault as we build awareness and build community. No one is in this alone.
Celebrating the Establishment of the First-Ever EPA Drinking Water Standard
PFAS chemicals pose extreme health risks. This week, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency established the first-ever national drinking water standards. This is a vital step to ensure our communities’ drinking water remains safe from these dangerous chemicals. We are proud that the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is helping make this historic rule and investment possible!
