Dear Friend,
I invite you to join us Monday night as we acknowledge Arab American Heritage Month with a conversation featuring Arab American elected officials. You may register for the event here.
As you know, Arab Americans have a history of service at every level of government—as cabinet secretaries and members of Congress, state representatives, and school board members. But it has not always been easy given the exclusion Arab Americans faced in politics because of our advocacy on Palestinian human rights.
We will discuss this and more as we are joined by Mayor Andre Sayegh (Paterson), Mayor Abdullah Hammoud (Dearborn), State Representative Abdelnasser Rashid (IL-21st district), and State Representative Ruwa Romman (GA-97th district).
Please register here to receive the dial-in information for the Zoom call happening Monday April 15th, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET. After you register, you will automatically get the dial-in information for the call.
I hope you join the conversation.
Best,
Jim
