Another court is stripping away our reproductive rights, this time in Florida. The Florida Supreme Court’s decision is the next in a long line of courts being swayed by political influence, and the people of not only Florida, but the entire South, will suffer as a result of this decision. Wade, people from across the South have come to Florida to receive reproductive care, and when this six-week abortion ban goes into effect, patients from across the South will lose access to a critical resource.

Experts warned that state courts would continue limiting abortion access in the aftermath of the Dobbs decision in 2022, and that is exactly what is happening in Florida right now. People who are in desperate need of reproductive care will have nowhere to turn, and this is due to the dark money conservative capture of our judicial system.

This is yet another example of how conservative billionaires have captured courts across the country and paved the way for the erosion of our fundamental rights and freedoms.
