John working in gun violence prevention spaces can feel a bit hopeless at times. So I wanted to share some good news that gives me hope for the future of our movement:
THE GOOD NEWS: States like California, Illinois and Colorado all started the year by taking action to save lives and implemented new gun safety laws!
THE BETTER NEWS: Support for our teacher-led movement has sky-rocketed – and we know the momentum is on our side to make our schools and communities safer. Our grassroots support is stronger than ever!
THE BEST NEWS: 2024 is turning out to be our biggest year yet. From attending national conferences like South by Southwest EDU, to planning our first-ever summit, to growing our presence on college campuses, we’ve already accomplished so much this year – and we’re not slowing down.
Together, we can make 2024 the year of teachers unifying to create safer schools – but if, and only if, we have the resources to continue our critical work of empowering educators to become advocates against gun violence.
Right now is the time your $25, $10, or even $1 will have the biggest impact on the rest of this year. So please, donate any amount right now to join us in this fight >>
Counting on your support,
Abbey Clements
