Here's the tea ☕: The president nominates and appoints public officials, including U.S. Supreme Court Justices, U.S. District Court judges, and Circuit Court judges — and senators have the power to reject or confirm these nominees. This year, 34 states are voting for a senator, and all 50 states are voting for President.

That's a big deal!

But wait, there's more! In 26 states and Washington D.C., State Supreme Court Justices are appointed directly by the governor or through a nominating commission. This year, 11 states elect governors.

And we’re not done yet. In 24 states, State Supreme Court Justices are elected through nonpartisan, partisan, or legislative elections. This year alone, 33 states are holding State Supreme Court elections.
