News from Representative Pete Aguilar

Dear John,

I am eager to share with you all the exciting developments coming to the Inland Empire. Read on to learn more about what I've been working on to deliver for our community!

Image I'm proud to share that as a part of the $17 million I secured for 15 projects across our community, San Bernardino's Nicholson Community Center is receiving $850,000 for renovations including a food pantry, after school programs and access to substance abuse prevention and mental health programs.
Additionally, The Blessing Center is receiving $500,000 to expand Hannah's House of Hope, which serves at-risk children and women in the Inland Empire.

This funding will help complete 26 additional living spaces for up to 30 new mothers and nearly 70 homeless children.

I also welcomed U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Secretary Xavier Becerra to the Inland Empire. We toured the facilities of SAC Health, and discussed the progress that House Democrats and the Biden Administration has made to lower the cost of health care for our residents.

Since we passed the Inflation Reduction Act into law in 2022, nearly 24,000 residents in our region is saving $1,000 every year on health insurance!

I am so proud to have been able to advocate on behalf of the Inland Empire in Congress and bring back federal dollars that will directly benefit our community. I will continue to do so, and I look forward to sharing more good news with you.

Thanks,
