This week, I was joined by Senators Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) in introducing the Ensuring Access to Specialty Care Everywhere (EASE) Act to increase access to specialty care providers for rural communities. The EASE Act would harness the power of telehealth to address clinician shortages, an aging population, and barriers such as transportation that disproportionately impact rural communities and decrease individuals’ access to specialty care. It's always a great day when I get to speak to the next generation of Oklahoma's farmers and ranchers. On Tuesday, I met with Ag students from Oklahoma State University who were visiting the nation's capital. We discussed challenges in the industry, including forest fires and droughts, and I answered questions about balancing family life and public service, as well as obstacles that come along with protecting the OK way of life.

Anyone who is impacted by Alzheimer’s understands the gravity of this disease and the hardship endured by both the individual and the loved ones surrounding them. I had the opportunity to meet with advocates from the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter and Alzheimer's Impact Movement to discuss the importance of research, clinical care improvements, and increasing the education of primary care providers to better understand and diagnose Alzheimer’s and other dementia.

I recently had the chance to visit Tulsa Innovation Labs and speak with their leadership to learn how Tulsa’s Tech Hub is supporting U.S. national security, fueling good-paying jobs in OK, and safeguarding America’s warfighters. I heard from Managing Director Jennifer Hankins on exciting new projects underway to support the future of tech in Tulsa.

It was great to visit with Pryor Mayor Zac Doyle, Salina Mayor Randall Plumlee, Chouteau Mayor Brenda Cunningham, and other Mayes County leadership to hear about the top issues facing their communities. We discussed water infrastructure needs for smaller communities and highway infrastructure issues as well the importance of local partnerships and the impact it has on communities and schools.

Additionally, I recently visited HE&M Saw Manufacturing in Pryor to meet their leadership team and receive a tour of the facility. HE&M Saw Manufacturing is an American-made business, manufacturing more than 70 different models of production band saws for the metalworking industry. Operating in MidAmerica Industrial Park for nearly 50 years, the Pryor location proudly employs over 200 Oklahomans. I sat down with President and CEO Doug Harris, Corporate Vice President Max Harris, and Stephen Bell to discuss the manufacturing workforce and the challenges the industry is currently facing such as an increase in product costs and business being sourced overseas.

Never in American history has a Senate Majority Leader tabled articles of impeachment to prevent a trial. Yet, Schumer doesn’t want the American people to hear the case against Secretary Mayorkas. This week, I joined Fox Business to discuss Schumer's potential refusal to hold an impeachment trial for Sec. Mayorkas in the Senate. Check it out here

Pro-Hamas "Free Palestine" activists have never once called for a Hamas ceasefire. Why? Because they know as well as anyone that if Hamas lays down their weapons, this war would end. If Israel stops defending themselves from terrorism, the state of Israel would cease to exist. For more on this, watch my Weekly Wrap Up here.
