One year ago today, I announced that I was running for reelection to the U.S. Senate.
So much has changed since then. All eyes are on Wisconsin in what has shaped up to be one of the most competitive Senate races in the country — and what will likely be my toughest reelection yet.
Mitch McConnell has made my seat a top target. He even handpicked a megamillionaire to run against me — a California bank owner who pledged to spend at least $20 million of his own fortune to flip this seat red.
Since launching his campaign, my Republican opponent has poured more than $5 million into TV and digital ads to flood Wisconsin’s airwaves and attempt to control the narrative in this race.
Now, the latest polling shows this race statistically tied.
A lot can change in a year, folks. But one thing hasn’t: Democrats cannot defend our majority in the Senate if we lose Wisconsin. That’s why I’m personally asking you today:
