Republicans are now targeting Maryland’s open Senate seat, and I’m counting on this team to help us stop them.

Look, Republicans know that we’re already on defense, and they’re trying to increase the number of battlegrounds however they can. That’s why it’s a huge deal that Mitch McConnell convinced Larry Hogan to run for the Senate.

Our best chance to stop him is Angela Alsobrooks, but she needs us to have her back. Please consider splitting a contribution between her campaign and my re-election today to help us hold the Senate majority.

Look, I know you might be thinking “Maryland is a blue state,” but the truth is we cannot assume that will be the case this year with Hogan on the ballot. Maryland overwhelmingly elected Hogan twice as a Republican, and he still has a high favorability in the state as their most recent governor.

This race is already becoming absurdly expensive, and the Republican super PACs have limitless resources to dump into Maryland if it looks like Angela doesn’t have the grassroots support she needs to win.

We know the Republican playbook. Angela is going to get pummeled by false attacks from their corporate super PACs.

Angela is a true public servant who will be a strong ally in our fight to end gun violence and deliver for working families. As County Executive, she has made gun safety a priority and she’s been a strong voice to increase wages. And she will bring an important voice to the Senate as Maryland’s first Black senator.
