Donald Trump’s been trying to send mixed messages on Republicans’ attempts to block access to reproductive care across the country. We’re certain that his flip-flopping is an attempt to placate the public and get votes this November, and if he becomes president, he’ll turn around and fight for an outright ban on reproductive healthcare. That’s not happening. Not on our watch.
We’ve got to take action, fast. Trump has already shown his hand: sign if you believe that Trump will ban abortion — no matter what he says.
This week, he announced that he believes that abortion law should be left up to individual state governments to decide. However, went on to say that the states should “do the right thing” and ban abortion.
But just days ago, Trump claimed that he was “proudly the person responsible” for the overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022.
In the past, Trump has expressed support for an outright national 16-week ban.
Donald Trump goes back and forth on his policies because he knows that abortion access is a winning issue for Democrats that he will lose millions of votes for moving to restrict it.
And he’s right — every time the question of abortion access the ballots since Roe was overturned, voters ruled overwhelmingly in favor of keeping and expanding it. We know he’s just trying to secure votes, before he pulls a bait-and-switch, but we’re not falling for it.
We believe that Trump will ban abortion nationally if he wins the election. We are not falling for his lies, and we’ll continue to fight for full access to reproductive care for every American. Sign on now if you agree.
