Hello Health Leads Community,
Today, we are globally focused on flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the impact of this health crisis extends far beyond the illness itself – and right now, another demand curve shows the secondary impacts of COVID-19 are already starting to surge.
While health care, social service and public health teams (and so many others) risk their lives on the front lines to address this virus, we must respond by ensuring both our most vulnerable citizens and the millions of others who will struggle in the economic downturn have food, housing, and other essential resources.
And, as communities of color and under-resourced communities are hit hardest in this pandemic, we must work together to rebuild systems to address in the root causes of racial inequity - those that have been in play long before COVID-19.
This respond and rebuild effort demands a new level of collaboration, partnerships, and investment. I hope you'll find the blog post ([link removed]) and our other resources ([link removed]) below helpful as we work together to that end.
As always, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and reach out if we can help in any way.
With gratitude,
Alexandra Quinn, CEO
