John, at this point, I'm sure you've heard the news:

Earlier this week, a Republican-appointed majority in the Arizona Supreme Court issued a decision to uphold their total abortion ban.

Now we all knew anti-choice far-right extremists would make reproductive freedom their big-ticket issue in 2024, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked at how much their movement has already been able to accomplish –

FIRST: In February, the Alabama Supreme Court put the future of IVF in jeopardy when they decided that frozen embryos are children.

THEN: Earlier this month, the Florida Supreme Court voted to uphold anti-choice Ron DeSantis' six-week abortion ban.

NOW: The Arizona Supreme Court's decision to uphold a total abortion ban, with no exceptions for rape or incest, has left people across the state devastated and in danger.

While heartbreaking, this decision makes one thing painfully clear – we need to codify Roe v. Wade nationwide.

I've been unequivocally pro-choice my entire life, and co-sponsoring the bill codifying Roe vs. Wade is one of the first things I’ll do when I make it to Congress, but I'm up against a MAGA Republican incumbent who is "100% pro-life."
