John,
LGBTQ+ youth and students are the future of our movement. Every year, on the second Friday of April, students and educators across the country participate in the Day of Silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ+ youth in schools.
This year, our national partner, GLSEN, is encouraging students to rise up and take action to send the message loud and clear that their voices can and will create change.
Here are a few easy ways to get involved today and every day - Attend your local school board meeting and stand with the students advocating for their rights and protections.
-
Write to your legislators to keep anti-LGBTQ+ bills, especially those targeting trans and nonbinary youth, out of your state.
- Support your local student-led rallies, protests, and organizing groups.

We have the power to shatter the silence and create an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and celebrated for who they are. |
