Millions of our friends, neighbors, and family members filed for unemployment this month. Many of them relied on their employer for their health insurance.

Now, they’re in a position where they might lose coverage during a global pandemic — left on their own to pay for COVID-19 treatment even if testing may be free.

The case for Medicare for All has never been more clear. Every person deserves access to health care. That’s why I’m joining with a coalition of progressive organizations to call for its passage. Will you join us?

We’re in a crisis. Working families across the country are already facing unprecedented economic uncertainty. Alongside Tim Ryan, I’ve introduced a bill that will ensure emergency cash infusions so that those families can make it through this.

But we need to go further. People deserve a health care system that puts them first — not the profits of Big Pharma and massive health care corporations. Now, it’s more important than ever to ramp up our efforts.
