April 12th marks a significant day for LGBTQ+ advocacy: National Day of Silence. Today is a day for us to come together and symbolically remain silent to honor and represent the struggles faced by LGBTQ+ young people while actively working to dismantle the barriers that silence them. This silence is a reminder to use our voice for those who can’t and to advocate for LGBTQ+ young people who may not feel safe advocating for themselves.
For LGBTQ+ youth, National Day of Silence serves as a reminder that their voices matter and deserve to be heard. It's a day to unite in our commitment to help create a world where all young people can thrive regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. At The Trevor Project, we're dedicated to providing resources and support to LGBTQ+ young people, empowering them to live authentically and without fear
