TURN YOUR DEVICE TO LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION.
Poll workers run election days. Next week, Tuesday, April 7, Election Day, there is a critical shortage of poll workers across the state of Wisconsin.
In order to create a safe and healthy environment for both poll workers and voters, as well as reduce the potential for long lines at all polling places, it is essential polling places are staffed with the appropriate number of poll workers. To lend reassurance to those who are volunteering to help out, the Wisconsin Elections Commission has issued guidelines for elections officials and poll workers HERE.
If you are healthy, are under the age of 65, and have not been in contact with others who are under quarantine for COVID-19, your assistance is needed at the polls. This is not a volunteer position. You will be paid for this work.
Once again, this is a CRITICAL need.
If you qualify and are able to work the polls on Tuesday, April 7, please contact your local municipal clerk to offer to be a poll worker and to find out about training. Your municipal clerk's information may be found HERE.
