In November 2018, I visited Milicent and Matthew's family (pictured above) in Kenya. When the family first joined a Ripple Effect project, they lived in cramped conditions, their children were out of school and the family lack access to clean running water.
A lot has changed since Milicent and Matthew joined a Ripple Effect project over four years ago, which you can read about in our latest blog post.
As part of our work, farmers are encouraged to visualise what they would like to achieve in the future.
In Milicent and Matthew's envisioning drawing (pictured), they included an animal house, toilet and kitchen garden.
In May 2023, I returned to visit the family, following their recent journey as part of a Ripple Effect project. Poignantly, I saw that their dream had been realised. You can read all about their amazing story and the real impact your support has had in our recent blog post.
Thank you for your continued support of farming families like Milicent and Matthew's. Our work would not be possible without you.
