Shame on Arizona! This week the Arizona Supreme Court upheld an extreme abortion ban from 1864 with no exceptions for health, rape, or incest. It’s a bombshell decision that adds Arizona to the growing list of states where abortion care is effectively banned.
The law that these extremist judges—and the politicians who enable them—want to enforce makes abortion a felony punishable by two to five years in prison for anyone who performs one, or helps a woman obtain one.
We're not shocked. But we are ready to fight back.
What happened in Arizona is a direct result of Donald Trump’s Supreme Court appointees overturning Roe v. Wade. The decision comes just one day after Trump bragged that he’s “proudly the person responsible” for overturning Roe and enabling the bans like Arizona’s. If Trump returns to the White House, things will only get worse.
