** Chair's Corner
------------------------------------------------------------

Aloha Members of the Hawaii Republican Party,

As your State Chair for nearly eight months now, I’ve witnessed our party experience many changes, challenges and accomplishments. With this in mind, I want to emphasize how crucial it is that we continue to work together, not just as members of this party but as advocates for the values we stand for.

We have several significant events on the horizon such as the sale of the HRP building, our upcoming Kuhio Dinner on April 13, and our convention on May 4th and 5th. These milestones are not only symbolic but are pivotal in steering our party towards greater credibility and integrity.

The completion of our financial review is eagerly anticipated. It will provide clarity on past activities and help us outline concrete next steps to propel our party forward. To attract more members and ensure our representatives are proactive, it’s essential that we end the internal bickering and any sabotage within our ranks. How are we going to do this? It seems to be a national disease, as Steve Bannon expressed on a recent broadcast, that the infiltration is across the nation and bad actors are good in disguising themself in sheep's clothing who are adept at hiding their true intentions.

Hawaii stands at a crossroads where we can fill our ranks with true patriots, from the grassroots up. This fight against elitism and internal disruption requires us to be vigilant and active. Our fundraising efforts continue, but equally, we must be mindful of the actions of those involved in our party. We are a party of the people, for the people, by the people. This means being ready to not only offer financial support but also to give a helping hand or a listening ear when needed. We should not be afraid to get our hands dirty, or offer a hand to those in need. Sometimes that need is more than just a dollar bill, it is a shoulder to cry on, it is a meal to share, a testimony to give, a child to protect, a life to save, a tree to plant. We need doers, not lip service. Anyone can donate a dollar, but who can stand up and give their time to fight and save our country?

Looking forward to the Kuhio Dinner and our May convention, these are more than dates on a calendar; they are opportunities for real, meaningful engagement. Let’s not attend merely for appearance’s sake. The Kuhio Dinner should reflect our dedication to the issues Prince Kuhio stood for, including the rights and lands of Hawaiian people. Moreover, we need to consider how we can assist Hawaiian families forced to move to the mainland due to economic pressures. This is more than a fundraiser, but an opportunity for those who really care about the message of Prince Kuhio and his stance on the lands for the Hawaii people, I look forward to hearing from the Keynote speaker Dr. Price, Chief Maui Loa.

I challenge each of you to come to the convention, to stand with me, and to join hands in solidarity. We need to use this time to send a loud and clear message: this party is about ‘we’ not ‘me’, its about We the People. It’s about all of us, together. I know it is challenging for some to make the trip to Oahu, but we need to find away to come together in person. This is a huge opportunity for patriots and grassroots to come together, side by side, and vote and make change for the betterment of what our party stands for. I challenge you to come and stand with me and embrace the fellowship of our party and join hands in person May 4th and 5th.

Let’s make our voices heard and our actions count. I am counting on you to step forward, to be doers, not just donors. Your participation is key to our success.

Together, we can make a difference.

Mahalo Nui,

Tamara McKay
