This is Arizona State Senator Eva Burch. On the Arizona Senate Floor, I
recently shared that I was making the decision to have an abortion because
my pregnancy was non-viable. It's not a moment that anyone wants to share,
but I knew my story needed to be told.

Then earlier this week, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled to uphold a law
from 1864, effectively banning abortions across the state.

Yesterday, Republicans blocked Democratic attempts to repeal this
dangerous and harmful law.

In the Arizona State Legislature, I have always fought to protect abortion
access.  This year, I'm grateful for the Progressive Change Campaign
Committee's help with my tight re-election campaign and their work to
elect more pro-choice Democratic legislators across the country. We need
more pro-choice legislators to ensure we can protect abortion rights
everywhere.

[ [link removed] ]Please, can you split a $3 donation (or $30 if you can) between my
re-election campaign and the PCCC work to elect pro-choice Dems across the
country? Whatever you can afford can help us build the team that’s going
to stop Republican attacks on abortion access here in Arizona and around
the country.

My story is not uncommon, but with extreme Republicans' relentless attacks
on abortion access and reproductive freedoms, access to care around the
country has been threatened.

Laws like we now have in Arizona prevent countless Arizonans from
receiving critical reproductive healthcare. It will even create criminal
penalties for doctors who provide abortion care.

We must show Republicans that their attempts to interfere in these deeply
personal matters should be left to a patient, their family, and their
doctor.

[ [link removed] ]Please, split a $3 donation (or $30 if you can) between my re-election
campaign and the PCCC's work electing pro-choice Democrats across the
country. We need more people in power who will push back against these
extreme policies and instead guarantee that every person has the autonomy
to make their own decisions for their reproductive health.

With gratitude,

– Eva Burch, Arizona State Senator
