# [#]Our fisheries and aquatic life are close to my heart and vital for our state’s future. This week I joined Long Live the Kings to release wild-raised Steelhead to spawn up the river in the Duckabush river.
It was a beautiful sight and it reminded me why I love this state so much.
As I've navigated the waters of being a commercial fisherman and a public servant at the Washington Department of Natural Resources, I've seen firsthand the challenges our fisheries face—from habitat degradation to the devastating impacts of climate change.
Our salmon populations are in a vulnerable state – and the mission to safeguard our natural resources is absolutely urgent.
The actions we take today will determine the health and viability of our fisheries for generations to come.
This is why I’m reaching out to you today: Will you join me as we advocate for the protection of our vital aquatic ecosystems? Your support is crucial. We’re collecting 5,000 signatures from Washingtonians in your city to join this call to action. [[link removed]]ADD YOUR NAME [[link removed]]
By adding your name to our petition, you're helping to amplify our collective voice and drive the change that we need to create effective policies and innovative conservation strategies.
I’m running for Commissioner of Public Lands to ensure that our waters—and the diverse species they support— will thrive in the future. There’s no other candidate in this race with first-hand experience in our fisheries or with the Department of Natural Resources.
I know that together, we can forge a sustainable path forward and make sure Washington remains a place where our waters and our communities flourish side by side.
Please add your name to this petition so we can prove we Washingtonians will live up to the eco-warrior reputation we’ve earned!
