I’ll get right to it — I’m asking you to split a $5 contribution between my campaign and Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin.
I believe that our democracy works best when everyone gets involved. As California’s Secretary of State, I worked to make it easier for people to securely cast their vote and expanded access to the ballot.
So it’s particularly galling to me to see people like Tammy’s opponent (and a fellow Californian!) Eric Hovde say that most nursing home residents are “not at a point to vote” repeating debunked claims about voter fraud in nursing homes in 2020. And it didn’t stop there — he outright attacked members of the Greatest Generation to make his point!
This isn’t a longshot candidate either. He’s been endorsed by Donald Trump, and Mitch McConnell and National Republicans are going to spend millions propping him up and attacking Tammy Baldwin.
These are the stakes in 2024. We’ve got to organize nationwide to defend our Senate majority and keep election-deniers like Eric Hovde and Donald Trump out of office.
