But, incredibly, the U.S. Library of Congress does and the result was amazing. Last month in Washington, PBS taped a two-hour special honoring John and Taupin called “Elton John &amp; Bernie Taupin: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.” The show is now streaming on PBS. Watching Metallica cover “Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding” is not something that I ever imagined I would be doing—but I’m so glad that someone thought of Metallica for this
