Dear Friend,
I want to quickly follow-up with additional FAFSA resources from the Department of Education for students and parents.
To watch a webinar which provides guidance on filling out the 2024-2025 FAFSA form – geared directly to students and parents – click here.
The Department of Education Office of Federal Student Aid’s YouTube channel has the latest up-to-date video guides on accessing federal financial aid to help lower the costs of higher education.
Students and parents can visit the “Filling Out the FAFSA Form” webpage for additional resources and to start a form. Click here to visit.
To be clear, tomorrow’s 3:00pm webinar hosted by the Department of Education will provide updates on FAFSA 2024-25 processing status. There is no registration required for the webinar. The audience is limited to 20,000 on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to join.
I know the frustration that many families in eastern Connecticut have experienced in attempting to access federal financial aid. That's why I'm pressuring the Department of Education to ensure that high school students graduating in 2024 have the clear information they need on financial aid to make college decisions this spring.
This week, in a House Education and Workforce Committee hearing, I asked Department of Education officials about their plans to help students access federal financial aid. Click below to watch.
Thank you for taking some time to read this update. I'll be back tomorrow with my regular weekly update.
If we can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to give my Norwich office a call at (860) 886-0139.
Sincerely,
Joe Courtney
Member of Congress
