Budget 2024 is about fairness for every generation
In less than a week Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team will table Budget 2024 and present the next steps in our plan to keep Canada moving forward. From protecting renters, to supporting youth mental health, to creating more affordable child care space, Budget 2024 is about making sure every generation has a real and fair chance at success.
Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve announced so far:
Our new National School Food program will provide 400,000 more children with access to healthy, nutritious meals. We’re setting kids up for success at school and lowering the cost of living for families.

We announced new investments to create more $10-a-day child care. By opening up more affordable child care spaces, we’re helping even more families save thousands of dollars on child care every month.
We’re also investing to train and attract more educators to make sure that more kids receive the quality care that they deserve.
The Honourable Iona Campagnolo was an inspiring trailblazer, the first woman to serve as President of the Liberal Party of Canada, and a committed advocate for climate action, reconciliation, and gender equality.
It’s with great sadness that we mark her passing and extend our condolences to her family and loved ones.
