Hi Friend - Here’s a quick update on some of the happenings this week at True the Vote!

## **IV3 Launch Success-More Trainings Announced!**

In a giant leap forward for election integrity, True the Vote recently hosted a stellar introductory webinar for our IV3 platform, with attendance of 872 dedicated volunteers ready to help eclipse ineligible voter records (very punny, we know … 😉 )

This will be the first of several IV3 trainings, so if you missed the last one, no worries, there will be more to follow.

IV3 offers users a powerful toolkit to confirm the accuracy of voter rolls, pinpoint ineligible records, report findings to local authorities, and stay on top of changes in their local voter registries. By empowering voters with the tools they need to take a proactive stance in the validation of voter rolls, True the Vote is laying the groundwork for a more transparent and accurate electoral process.

We have been overwhelmed by the number of people interested in using IV3! While we are thrilled by the response, we had to quickly develop an efficient onboarding process for the now **nearly 40,000 people** who’ve signed up to participate, which caused a slight delay in sending out registration links. The good news is we expect to send out registration emails starting tomorrow! If you’ve signed up, please look for an email coming from** ****[[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])****.**

Thank you for your continued support of True the Vote and IV3. Together, we are ensuring that every vote counts and every count is correct.

## **Analyzing the Spin at Rolling Stone **

Rolling Stone Magazine recently ran an article entitled, [Biden Is Building a ‘Superstructure’ to Stop Trump From Stealing the Election]([link removed]), into which the authors injected the narrative with some very perceivable and predictable leftist bias. The article misrepresented federal election integrity efforts so completely that it necessitated a response.

Throughout the article, the writers wring their hands over the adequacy of the measures taken by the Biden campaign to counteract Donald Trump's influence on election integrity. However, the portrayal oversimplifies and grossly misrepresents the multifaceted efforts aimed at ensuring the security and fairness of American electoral processes.

Trump’s engagement with the electoral system over the years, misrepresented by Rolling Stone as being undermining, has actually led to heightened scrutiny and improvements in election security and integrity. Data cited in the article from the U.S. Election Assistance Commission indicates that roughly 28 million mail-in ballots have disappeared over the course of a decade. This underscores not a critique of Trump's approach, but rather illustrates one of the many systemic vulnerabilities that the Trump administration sought to address. President Trump’s efforts ranged from establishing a Commission on Voter Fraud to the enactment of Executive Order 13800 aimed at bolstering cybersecurity, reflecting a comprehensive strategy to safeguard electoral processes from interference and fraud.

Rolling Stone’s narrative that Trump’s post-2020 election actions were solely designed to delegitimize Biden’s presidency overlooks the pre-existing legal challenges initiated by his campaign against states over election management issues. These challenges were rooted in concerns over election integrity, particularly around mail-in ballots and voter verification processes. Highlighting specific cases where Trump's legal team secured victories underscores the substance behind some of their claims, challenging the broad-stroke dismissal of these efforts as baseless or nefarious.

The portrayal of Trump’s response to the 2020 election outcome, especially the legal battles that ensued, fails to acknowledge the nuanced context in which these actions were taken. While numerous lawsuits were dismissed, the reasons for dismissal and the nature of the allegations brought forth speak to deeper, systemic issues within the U.S. electoral framework that merit serious consideration, regardless of partisan affiliation.

The article's discussion of the January 6th events and subsequent politicization offers another dimension where the narrative diverges from a comprehensive understanding of the events. By examining a broader array of sources and accounts, such as the documentary "J6: A True Timeline," a more complex picture emerges, one that challenges the cynical, partisan portrayal of Trump as the instigator. The examination of Trump’s calls for peace and order during the events at the capitol, juxtaposed against the actions and treatment of certain individuals in the media, politicians, and our judicial system, only further exposed existing biases. Of course, none of this was taken into account by Rolling Stone.

The framing of Trump’s pre-election comments about the 2020 election integrity and the DNC's strategies for voter mobilization and litigation against Trump paints a picture of a deeply polarized political landscape, where actions and intentions are often interpreted through a lens of partisan bias. The emphasis on voter mobilization efforts by the DNC, while critiqued as focusing on demographic advantages rather than electoral integrity, points to broader issues of trust and confidence in the electoral system that transcend individual campaigns or elections.

While the Rolling Stone article attempts to use election integrity as a fresh topic for the stale mainstream media “Biden=Good / Trump=Bad” narrative, the reality is that the challenges and controversies surrounding the 2020 election reflect deeper issues within the U.S. electoral system that require careful examination and reform. Dismissing legitimate concerns about election integrity does a disservice to our electoral process and undermines the foundation of American government. But, then perhaps that’s the goal…

## _**Scan. Check. Protect.**_** Success!**

**Thank you to everyone who has been sharing **[_**Scan.Check.Protect.**_]([link removed])_** **_**with your family, friends and neighbors! You are making a difference! Here’s a little bit of the feedback we have gotten from the field! **

_“Using your site I was able to determine that we were still registered to vote in IL, despite having moved from there 7 years ago. From there, I was able to obtain the St Clair County IL voter registration website. Here's the cool part, on their website was a section titled: St Clair County IL, Voter Integrity Hotline.  It had both an email hot link and a telephone number to call. I called the phone number and on the second ring a real person answered. She confirmed we were still registered to vote, but listed in an "inactive/suspended" status.  In IL this meant we could not vote in local elections BUT, since this year was a Presidential election, they would be sending absent voter ballots out to even this category of registered voters! When I explained we had moved 7 years ago, the very helpful lady I was talking with, Laura, based on the phone call, immediately moved us to "canceled" status which meant they would not be sending any absent voting ballots to our prior address. I share this with you that you may use this as an example to others. This whole process took less than 30 mins, produced immediate results and no additional paperwork or lengthy review/validation process at the state level was required. Kudos to Laura, who was so helpful and Thankful that we called in to clear this discrepancy up.  I know IL has a reputation for voting "irregularities (fraud)" ...but in this County it appears there is a genuine focus on improving Voter Integrity. _

_Thxs for bringing  this issue to our attention and initiative on how to fix this voter integrity/registration problem.  _

_Please feel free to share this story with others. I'd especially recommend getting this word out to our military members who move quite often and like us, never thought about still being on another state's voter roles, years after from when we leave. Getting this QR scan code out to the military community might be very beneficial. _

_ Bottom line: We found that the problem is real if you've lived in other states, and it's not hard to fix it, especially with helpful people like Laura in St Clair County IL!  There's now two less chances for voter fraud in the state of IL and maybe this doesn't seem like a lot....but, when you have a big pile of dirt to move, ever shovel full matters!”_

_“Listening to this past Monday night onward podcast with you all, I heard your scan...protect comments: yes, I am registered and do actively vote. However, wanted to focus on the "protect" aspect._

_ Just coincidentally, this past Monday (29th) I got this notion to call two States that I formerly lived in: Stanislaus county (Modesto) in 1988-90, calling the board of elections, it was verified that I was not active on the voter roll; had been removed. The person I spoke with commented that "we like these kinds of calls." Second State, Hamilton county board of elections in Cincinnati, Ohio. The person I spoke with said that I was now cleared off their rolls. Glad I called. It did feel good that I could do my part, and that it just took a couple of googled phone calls.”_
