Friend, so much has transpired in our country already this year.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you with an urgent recap regarding the state of our nation.

Right-wing extremists across the country are doing everything in their power to attack our rights and freedoms. With new abortion ban attempts hitting state legislatures across the country, absurd book bans impacting our schools, and relentless attacks on immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community, Republicans are going after everything that matters most to us.

But that hasn’t stopped me for one second – in the face of these predatory advances from the GOP, I’ve continued in my fight for YOU. Together, we’ve taken action to protect and defend reproductive freedom, held the powerful and corrupt accountable, taken down drug and illegal firearm trafficking networks, and so much more.

The issues that matter to you are just as important to me!

But our work for the vulnerable and the voiceless is just beginning. With nine months still left in the year, we have to give everything that we can to defend our freedoms. I won’t stop fighting until progress is made for the betterment of not just New Yorkers, but everyone – but to do that, I need to know what fights matter most to YOU.
