Last Friday, April 5th, President Biden visited Baltimore to show support after the collapse of the Key Memorial Bridge. He called on Congress to deliver funding from the federal government to cover the full cost of repairs of the bridge.

Not only that, but he is showing great compassion for the people who are suffering from this great tragedy. “Your nation has your back,” President Biden said during his speech. These words resonate and the support of our fellow citizens in a tragedy as large as this means the world to us.

We are grateful to President Biden for extending a hand and assisting Baltimore and the state of Maryland in a time of tragedy. His show of compassion, consoling the families of victims, means more than words can express.

In times of crisis, community is all we can ask for. President Biden has shown us that. We want to thank him for taking the time to come to Baltimore. We are grateful for his leadership and empathy.

We are Maryland Tough, Baltimore Strong. Together, we can get through this crisis.
