Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade nearly two years ago, we’ve seen extreme Republicans at every level of government push draconian policies designed to control a woman’s right to control their own body.

And this week was no exception.

On Tuesday, we saw yet another horrifying setback for reproductive rights with the Arizona Supreme Court reinstating an archaic law from 1864 that bans virtually all abortions – with no exceptions for rape or incest.

In real time, we’re seeing the ramifications of Roe being overturned – and what happens when all federal protections for reproductive rights are stripped away, leaving vulnerable women subject to the whims of state legislatures and court rooms.

Let me be very clear: it has never been more urgent to take back the House so we can pass legislation like the Women’s Health Protection Act to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law.

We know that today’s extreme GOP, and Ken Calvert, can’t be trusted to protect reproductive rights. In fact, Calvert’s on the record voting NO on the Right to Contraception Act, NO on Ensuring Access to Abortion Act, and NO on the Women’s Health Protection Act.

Time and time again, Ken Calvert has failed women. This November, we have an opportunity to unseat one of the strongest allies of the anti-choice movement.
