“For so long, we suffered in silence, but we survived,” says Dortumor Wisdom. “When we were rescued, our hopes to freely live and pursue our goals were restored. We, therefore, have a heavy weight to ensure no child goes through what we have.”
Dortumor coordinates Hope in Freedom, a chapter of the Ghana Survivor Network, which is part of the larger Global Survivor Network, an international group of survivor leaders who strive for safe communities through justice systems that protect the vulnerable.
With the help of caring people like you, IJM provides training to equip Hope in Freedom members deliver a strong anti-trafficking message. IJM also helps the group mobilize, coordinate activities and transport members to and from meetings and events.
