As a second-time candidate on the tail end of a two-cycle strategy to defeat Trumpism in rural Michigan, Bob Lorinser is honored with the advantage of name recognition and momentum. He doesn't take it for granted because it's derived from supporters like you.
The last repeat Democratic candidate who rematched a GOP incumbent in Congress here gained 10 points by running a second time.
That year, Democrats came within half a percentage point of defeating the sitting Republican in Northern Michigan and the UP.
