Dear Friend,

I'm here with a quick message for graduating high school students and parents.

With college decision day around the corner, the U.S. Department of Education is hosting a webinar tomorrow, Friday, April 12 at 3 p.m. to help families submit the FASFA form.

FASFA – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid – is the first step to accessing critical financial aid to help lower the costs of higher education for students and their families.

There have been concerning delays in the Education Department’s rollout of FASFA this year. My colleagues and I in Congress have been pressing Department officials to provide families with clear guidance and resources so students can make informed financial decisions about their education.

Tomorrow's webinar is a chance for you to hear directly from the Federal Student Aid department on how to apply and receive updates on processing status for those who have already submitted the FASFA form.

You do not need to register for this webinar. Participation will be available on a first come, first served basis and can accommodate up to 20,000 attendees.

Thank you for taking some time to read my update. If we can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to give my Norwich office a call at (860) 886-0139.

Sincerely,

Joe Courtney
Member of Congress
