Meet our summer 2024 cohort of Elizabeth Frankel Fellows!

Aaron Rodriguez, Carola Aisenberg, and Fatima Salinas will spend 10 weeks training to zealously advocate for children, and to carry on Elizabeth Frankel's vision of honoring the child’s wishes through careful, strategic advocacy, under the guidance of Young Center staff within the Child Advocate Program.

We are excited to welcome them aboard!

Valley non-profit looking for volunteers to help immigrant children in court

A non-profit that works with immigrant children is adding staff and volunteers to take on more cases. The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights in Harlingen receives hundreds of children who come to the United States alone.

The Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights will hold two days of training April 20-21 in Harlingen for area residents who wish to serve as volunteer advocates for unaccompanied immigrant children while they are in federal custody.
