To put it frankly, I represent one of the most competitive House seats in the country

In a moment, I’m going to tell you more about myself and why I first ran for Congress. But to put it frankly, I represent one of the most competitive House seats in the country, so if you’re already with me, please chip in $5 or any amount you can afford right now to help me defend this seat:

I’m not the typical person in Congress.

I was the first person in my family to graduate from college, and I chose to be a pediatrician in Adams County to give back to my community and the folks that raised me. I quickly realized the obstacles faced by doctors trying to help children in our communities.

That’s why I ran for the state legislature. In that time, I passed legislation to force drug companies to lower the cost of prescriptions, expand funding for preschool, ensure all Coloradans have access to paid family leave and sick days, and protect renters from eviction during the pandemic.

And, John, I ran for Congress in 2022 to continue fighting for Colorado’s kids and families. The pollsters called this race a long shot. Thanks to this grassroots team, we defied the odds and elected the first Latina from Colorado to Congress.

I want you to know that I remain deeply committed to Colorado's families, drawing from my own journey that mirrors the aspirations and hurdles of many in our state. My resolve to keep up our work and achieve real change for us all is unwavering.

I will continue to fight to lower health care costs, address the high cost of living, and protect a woman’s right to choose. Not just because it’s what's popular, but because I know it’s what folks all across our community and country need.

I’m ready to continue advocating for American families in Congress, but my race is one of just a few across the country that will decide whether Democrats take back the House. Your support was critical in 2022. So please, will you chip in to support my re-election campaign today to help us win again?
