We Know Rural Issues

1 in 4 rural children live in **poverty** in the U.S. The Midwest has the highest job vacancy rate in the country. Meanwhile, Republicans bus immigrants to blue cities to score political points. 

 

"**High**" and "**persistent**" poverty is prevalent in many rural counties, particularly in 'red' states. Those numbers are correlated with unemployment. 

 

The simple fact is— **MAGA policies have failed in the very districts where Republicans dominate.**

 

It's time for new leadership in rural places. It's time for Democrats to seize the opportunity to win working-class voters where that demographic is in the highest majority: middle America.
