Friends — We need to talk about ads. Specifically, TV ads. Please let us explain.

In order to win this race and help take back the House for Democrats, we’re going to have to run TV ads.

It’s tough. They’re expensive. In fact, most of Virginia’s 7th district is in the DC media market, which means we’re working in one of the most expensive markets in the country.

But in the last election cycle, Republicans spent a whopping $12 million on ads in this district, with the vast majority attacking Democrats. And we’re expecting to see just as much, if not more this year.

If we let those ads go unanswered, we are leaving ourselves open to constant far-right attacks from now until November. It’s absolutely crucial that we have the opportunity to communicate directly with the voters in our district and push back on whatever comes our way.

The only way we can afford to get Eugene’s pro-democracy message up on air is if this team steps up and helps us get it done. Grassroots donors like you will make the difference.
