PROGRESS! Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) Introduced in the House!
The Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) was introduced this week in the House of Representatives! It will be heard next week in the Energy and Commerce Committee. We are grateful to Reps. Bilirakis (R-FL-12), Castor (D-FL-14), Houchin (R-IN-09), and Schrier (D-WA-08), the original House cosponsors of this crucial bill.
This is a truly pivotal moment! KOSA is poised to become the first federal child protection law in 25 years. It currently boasts 67 Senate cosponsors—Democrats and Republicans are standing united on this crucial solution to protect children from online harms.

Victory! Rhode Island says NO to Decriminalizing the Sex Trade!
Last week, a bill proposing full decriminalizing of pimping, sex buying, and brothel keeping came up for a vote in Rhode Island. NCOSE staff and a number of coalition partners testified against the bill. We are now pleased to report that it failed to pass!
Rhode Island will not be normalizing the exploitation of vulnerable individuals in the sex trade. Thank you to all our valued allies who helped make this victory happen!
