I recently signed a bill that will invest $30 million in summer learning programs for THIS SUMMER. The money will help thousands of kids stay on track over the summer months.

The evidence is clear – summer learning reduces learning loss between school years, accelerates academic achievement, and strengthens student well-being.

The new law also creates a workgroup to develop recommendations for sustainable long-term funding for summer learning in the future, so all Oregon students have the opportunity to continue learning over the summer.
