 Team, With the general election in full swing and so many new people joining Team Min each day, I wanted to take a moment to explain a little bit about who I am and why I’m in this race. I’m the proud son of Korean immigrants. My parents came to this country in search of the American Dream – centered around diversity, opportunity, and a world where everyone has a fair shot. Their story has undoubtedly driven my career in service. Since graduating law school, I’ve worked at the SEC to prosecute corporate fraud, taught at UC Irvine, and represented Orange County in the State Senate – flipping this exact area from Red to Blue in 2020. But through it all, my proudest accomplishment has been raising my three wonderful children with my wife, Jane.
I believe in the American Dream because I’ve lived it. But look, these days, MAGA extremists are fighting harder than ever to chip away at these great American ideals. Whether it's restricting a woman's right to choose, refusing to address our climate crisis, or undermining our very democracy itself, it’s clear Trump and the MAGA movement represent a clear danger to everything our country stands for. I’m running to fight back. This is going to be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime – and the path to ending the MAGA Majority runs through our district. We have an incredibly tough road ahead, but if we stick together, I know we’ll have what it takes to win.
