John, I’m just back from spending a week in Ukraine where I saw firsthand what is happening on the ground. I met with President Zelensky, visited former Russian occupied territory, and got a tiny taste of what the people of Ukraine experience every day when one of our meetings in Odessa was interrupted when a missile took down a nearby Russian drone.

I came back re-convinced of two things. First, the situation in Ukraine is growing desperate and Congress must act now. Second, we need to elect Andrei Cherny to Congress and defeat David Schweikert. Before I tell you why, will you consider sending a contribution right now to Andrei’s campaign?

[link removed] [[link removed]]After many months, House Republicans are still stonewalling attempts to send more much-needed aid to Ukraine. Their inaction is despicable, and it’s troubling to see that Andrei’s opponent, David Schweikert, is complacent in this harmful inaction.

He and others in Congress are more concerned with avoiding the wrath of Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene than they are avoiding the fall of Ukraine to Russian forces – a tragedy that would have devastating effects on our own national security.

We need people In Congress like Andrei Cherny. As the grandchild of four Holocaust survivors, the son of refugees from communism, and an American who enlisted after 9/11 to serve our country in uniform, he will fight for freedom – here at home against people and around the world.

AZ-01 and our nation deserve better than David Schweikert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Donald Trump. I know Andrei will be a true champion for democracy and I know he will make a real impact as soon as he gets to Congress.
