john,

Years ago, our country promised hard-working Americans that if they worked hard and paid into Social Security and Medicare, it would be there for Americans when they needed it most.

For decades, that has been true, and hard-working Americans have retired with dignity and security because of Social Security and Medicare. However, with Republicans controlling the House, these earned benefits are now at risk even as Republicans continue to tell the American people that's not what they plan to do. Well, actions speak louder than words.

In their latest move, the Republican Study Committee (RSC) — a caucus representing 80% of House Republicans — made it clear that robbing Americans of their earned benefits is at the top of their list when they renewed a call to cut Social Security benefits and raise the age of retirement.

Breaking our promise to hard-working Americans isn't right. That's why Kim is fighting back against these attacks on Social Security in Congress on behalf of WA-08, but she needs to know you have her back.

john, if you're prepared to take action to defend Social Security and Medicare, then join Kim in the fight by adding your name to demand Republicans leave our Social Security benefits alone. >>

Thanks,
