April 10th is Green Party day and the Jill Stein Team wanted to share with you why this day was chosen. The reason April 10th was decided upon as Green Party day is because of the Four Pillars and Ten Key Values of the Green Party (4/10). Having an anti-war, pro-worker, climate action party is more important than ever, and later in this email we will explain why, but first we wanted to share with you the Green Party Pillars and Values. 

The Four Pillars are:

- Ecological wisdom
- Social justice
- Grassroots democracy, 
- Nonviolence

The Ten Key Values, which expand upon the Four Pillars, are grassroots democracy; social justice and equal opportunity; ecological wisdom; nonviolence; decentralization; community-based economics; feminism and gender equality; respect for diversity; personal and global responsibility; and future focus and sustainability.


<[link removed]>Friend, neither of the ruling parties share any of these values. While some politicians may co-opt the language (the “Green New Deal” for example), they inevitably betray the voters when elected. The reason for this is clear: our politicians are beholden to lobbyists, PACs, and other large donors - not the people or the planet. This is where the Green Party and candidates like Jill Stein stand apart. The national Green Party website says it succinctly: 

“We don’t take corporate money. We are working to build a clean government that works for all of us – not just the 1%. We are fighting for the future.”

Unlike the parties of war and Wall Street, we don’t have Super PACs. We rely on supporters like you to help Jill and the Green Party fight for YOUR best interests, not the interests of AIPAC, Big Pharma, and the Military Industrial Complex.
