Dear John,

Twenty years ago, organizations and advocates from across Maine came together, led by Maine Conservation Voters (MCV), to address the need for better environmental policy. As a result, Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition was born.

I work at Defend Our Health Action, representing one of the 34 partnering organizations in the Environmental Priorities Coalition—now an active group of environmental, climate action, and public health organizations working together to pass top policy priorities and ensure that sound decisions are made to protect our communities, natural legacy, and climate future.

The coalition has become the engine of environmental progress in Maine over the last two decades. Yet, protecting the environment in Maine is not a given.

We need your support to keep this critical work moving forward. Will you consider a gift to support MCV’s collaborative environmental advocacy?

It is an honor to be a voice for public health as part of the Environmental Priorities Coalition. I appreciate that MCV recognizes how special Maine is and how important it is to protect the natural environment.

I also appreciate that they are centering equity and justice in our collective work and advocating for policies that support people and communities disproportionately impacted by the climate crisis and environmental degradation.

The safety and health of our friends and neighbors are at risk, John.

Maine Conservation Voters brings me hope. Throughout the year, your support of MCV will help:

*Advocate for equitable solutions to environmental problems and the clean energy transition;
*Organize and mobilize Maine people in communities across the state who believe we can build power and create great change; and
*Lobby for systemic change through laws and policies by persuading decision-makers to act.

The challenges we face are too big for any of us to solve alone, but together we are unstoppable. Please join me in supporting MCV today. [[link removed]]
